Lupe Mora

One of the first faces you see when you walk in the door is our receptionist, Lupe! She is currently in school pursuing her BA/S, but when she isn't working or continuing her education, she enjoys photography, cooking, fishing, camping, and all sorts of DIY projects. Lupe loves spending time with her husband, and 3 children, as well as all critters at home which include 6 dogs, 3 turtles, 1 hamster, and lots of fish! She has always loved anything to do with animals which makes her the perfect addition to AMCR!

Claudia Smith

Claudia was born in Germany and moved to the United States in 1992. She started working with Dr. Shuttlesworth in August of 2001. Claudia is a jack-of-all-trades at the AMCR! She efficiently manages the boarding facility, works as a receptionist and pinch hits as a Technician Assistant when needed! She and her husband are the proud parents of two grown sons, Danny and Kevin. She has a dog and two crazy cats.

Michelle Wells

Education: University of Texas at Dallas, Bookhaven College

Michelle started working at AMCR in July 2008. Michelle grew up in the Dallas area and has always desired a career helping animals in need. She aspires to work on a wildlife preserve one day. She works some evenings and weekends at the Emergency Animal Clinics in the area, and volunteers with Big Fix for Big D. In her spare time, she plays with her two dogs and four cats.


Yolanda Sandoval

Education: Mountain View College

Yolanda was born and raised in Dallas, the oldest of 4 girls. She has 3 amazing kids, Izrael, Robert, and Daria. Her family has many diverse and wonderful pets: 2 dogs (Murphy and Dilly) and 2 kitties (Sadie and Gimpy). Yolanda's house is also a home to a variety of reptiles. She would someday like to travel the world and maybe write a book. In her spare time she enjoys attending live shows and food festivals, reading and photography. She has been involved with Veterinary Medicine since 2008 and is fluent in Spanish.


Alli Myers, LVT

Education: North East Community College

Alli Myers was born and raised in Nebraska where she went to NECC to become an LVT. She actually did her externship while in school at AMCR, and we were so happy she decided to move to Texas and continue working with us once she graduated! She has two kitties that share her home, Smokey and the Bandit. In her spare time, when she isn't busy taking care of all our furry friends at the clinic, Alli enjoys going to the movies, rollerblading, playing volleyball, and working out.

Natasha Desouky

Natasha is a Texas native and grew up in Big D. She was educated overseas in Moscow, Russia and loves learning about other cultures, especially new recipes. She has been a CPR, First Aid, and AED instructor. Natasha has four wonderful kids as well as four furry companions (two cats and two dogs) that keep her
